No. Amber’s SmartShift doesn’t currently support the ESY Sunhome battery. SolanIQ fills exactly that gap: it connects to your ESY Sunhome and your Amber account and automates charging, discharging and exporting against Amber’s 5-minute wholesale prices.
No. SolanIQ is a hosted cloud service that connects directly to your ESY Sunhome battery and your electricity retailer. There’s no Home Assistant, local server or custom hardware to set up.
Yes. In Automate mode SolanIQ executes its plan for you; in Suggest mode it shows recommendations without acting on them. You can also choose a Conservative, Balanced or Aggressive strategy to set how hard the battery cycles.

Not yet. Smart EV charging for OCPP-compatible chargers is on the horizon, so your car can charge from surplus solar and cheap price windows. Hot water and pool pumps aren’t currently controlled.
